Acclaimed Artist. Born in Stuttgart and enrolled at the Stuttgart Academy in 1912. Under Adolf Hoelzel, Schlemmer turned to the Cubists. In 1920, he went to work as a teacher at the Bauhaus where he remained for nine years. In 1922 he finished the work on his famous "Triadisches Balett."
