Dixie Montez Crow Brunson, 95, of Memphis, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2014. She was reared in Ruleville, MS, moved to Memphis, married Ralph Brunson in 1940 and was a buyer for Goldsmith's. Mrs. Brunson was also a member of St. Paul Presbyterian Church, married for 53 years and loved to do crafts and gardening. The widow of Ralph Sloan Brunson, she is survived by her sons and daughters in law, Leslie and Loretta Brunson, Ronnie and Pamela Brunson, Eddie and Barbara Brunson and Cecil and Jean Brunson; a sister, Helen Amato; fifteen grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three brothers. A celebration of her life will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Rosemark Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Memphis Funeral Home 3700 N.
