LUCILLE V. SMITH ANDERSON

Lucille V. Anderson, 98, of Green Bay, WI, formerly from Dunbar, WI, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 21 at Woodside Lutheran Nursing Home in Green Bay.

Born in Monticello, Iowa on Aug. 12, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Cora (Crapser) Smith.

She married her husband, Eldred on Sept. 22, 1934 in Iron Mountain, Mi. They started their family and owned and operated a farm for 35 years, until his death in 1969. She enjoyed horses, watching and feeding birds, talking with people and making quilts for family members. She was a part time bus driver for the Pembine School District and served many years on the election board in the Town of Dunbar. She was a cook at Richards Supper Club for approximately seven years and was a member of the Dunbar Ramblers Homemakers.

She is survived by three sons, Charles (Rita) Anderson, William (Dianne) Anderson and Thomas (Evelin) Anderson; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Chuck Downs and numerous extended family members.

Along with her parents and her husband, Eldred, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Joan Anderson and Annette Downs; a stepbrother, Kenneth Smith and a stepsister, Margrete Pier.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25 at Messar Funeral Home in Wausaukee, WI with Pastor Gene Wickman officiating. Interment will be in the Pembine Cemetery, Pembine, WI. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service on Thursday at the funeral home.
