PLEASANT VIEW – Marianne Wiser Parker passed away on August 24, 2011, after a battle with cancer. She was born September 8, 1953 in Logan, Utah to Lorin Kenneth and Arlene Hansen Wiser. She married the love of her life, William Kent Parker, on December 16, 1978 in the Ogden Temple. They were married 32 years.

Marianne attended Weber High School and Weber State University. She was a school teacher and taught math at Weber High School. She was an active member of the LDS church. She was extremely active in the scouting program and helped many youth get their Eagle. She was awarded the Silver Beaver from the Boy Scouts of America. She played the violin in the Mormon Youth Symphony and Chorus for over 20 years. She was a swim instructor, softball coach, soccer and baseball coach and ski instructor. Marianne loved spending time with her grandkids and family. She was extremely generous and caring.

Marianne is survived by her husband Kent; children – Brad W. (Becky) Parker of Pleasant View, Daniel (Melanie) Parker of Pleasant View, Aaron Parker of Pleasant View, Dallin (Cassie) Parker of North Ogden, John (Melissa) Barton of Ogden; brothers Randy Wiser and Kraig Wiser; sister Janice Toyn; six grandchildren – Kenneth, Lydia, Nicole, Bradly, Lexie, Tristin and one due in September. She was preceded in death by her parents and little brother Ken.

The family would like to thank the ladies of the 9th Ward, Crestwood Care Center, Applegate Home Care and the staff at McKay-Dee.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Pleasant View 9th Ward Chapel, 250 W. Elberta, Pleasant View, Utah on Monday, August 29, 2011. A viewing will be held on Sunday, August 28th 6-8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah and again on Monday from 12-12:45 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
