Melissa Irene Barner, 34, of Mechanicsburg, died at 5:50 pm Monday Dec. 7, 1998, in Hershey Medical Center, Death was unexpected and attributed to natural causes.
born Aug. 22, 1964, in Gettysburg, she was the daughter of Raymond L. Sr. and Hazel A (Harris) Bream of Waynesboro. She lived her early life in Waynesboro.
Mrs. Barner graduated from Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the class of 1982.
She and her husband, Thomas E. Barner, were married Aug 30, 1985. They lived in the Mechanicsburg area for the past 10 years.
While living in Waynesboro she was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ.
Mrs. Barner was employed as a supply clerk in the supply department at New Cumberland Army Depot for the past 14 years.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by one brother Raymond L Bream Jr. of Shippensburg; one sister Patricia R. Rush of Greencastle; maternal grandfather Otto F. Harris of Antioch W. Va.; paternal grandmother Margret R. Bream of Waynesboro; and 17 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Alyssa Irene Barner.
services will be held at 2 pm Friday in Grove Funeral Home, Waynesboro, with Pastor James T. Williams officiating. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
