He was born July 22, 1950 and was the son of John Henry Martin and Monnie Mae (Hagler) Martin.
He was retired having worked in road construction. He enjoyed fishing, country music, dancing and watching western movies. Eddy was a very happy person and loved his family. He never went anywhere without his dog, Bonnie which he called "Bon Bon"
He is survived by five brothers, Ted Martin of Mahama, Oregon, John Martin of Rattan, Oklahoma, Bill Martin of Dora, Missouri, Dennis Martin of Rattan, Oklahoma, Ricky Martin of Vanzant, Missouri; two sisters, Charlene Parrish of Bee Branch, Arkansas and Dorthy Nowlin of Vinita, Oklahoma; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Edna and Leonard Hagler and Baber and Emmer Martin, and two brothers, Del Martin and Don Martin.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 29, 2011 at Sulphur Rock Cemetery in Sulphur Rock with Rev. Patrick Hancock officiating. Arrangements are by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Sunday, August 28, 2011 at the funeral home
