Walter M. Small, 85, Selma, died at 6:40 a.m. Thursday at Ball Hospital following a one-month illness. He was a lifelong resident of Delaware County and a member of the Selma Methodist Church.
His wife, Ethel, died in 1957.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Dale Braun, Winchester, Mrs. Harry Brockmeier, Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Farrel Jackson, Gaston, and Mrs. Fred Watt, Farmland; three sons, Kenneth D. Small, Muncie, Dale Small, Yorktown, and Lawrence Small, Selma; two sisters, Miss Ruth Davis and Miss Hazel Beasley, both of Muncie; two brothers, Arthur Small, Greenville, Miss., and Home Davis, Indianapolis; 19 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Parson Mortuary with the Rev. Reginald Alford officiating. Burial will be in the famiy plot in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary after 2 p.m. Friday.
