The daughter of Elisha and Lydia (Phillips) Ely, Anna was born, lived her life, and died in Morrow, Warren Co., OH. She married Loren Benn in that place Feb. 11, 1869 and was mother to one son and four daughters.
Following her husband's death, Anna lived on Railroad Street in Morrow with two of her daughters, both unmarried, plus a lodger who worked, as had her husband, for the railroad. Two months following a fall in which she fractured her femur, Anna died of bronchial pneumonia, Oct. 30, 1923.
