Mrs. Alexander Barr, a Hall county resident for 22 years, passed away at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Frank Sanders, 804 East Seventh street, at 9:30 A.M., Friday. Last Saturday she returned to this city from Julesburg, Colo., where she had spent three months at the home of a daughter, Mrs. George Rickard. During the stay in the west she had not enjoyed good health and was not feeling well on her arrival here, though her condition was not regarded as extremely serious. For a number of years past she had been afflicted with a leakage of the heart. Early Friday morning she suffered a slight paralytic stroke which, combined with the heart ailment, proved fatal.

Mrs. Barr was aged 71 years at the time of her death. She was the widow of Alexander Barr, for 22 years a well known farmer residing near Alda. Mr. Barr preceded her in death about eighteen months ago. Two daughters and two sons have also preceded the mother in death. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Frank Sanders, of Grand Island; Mrs. George Rickard, of Julesburg, Colo.; Mrs. Arthur Denman, of Alda; and one son, William Barr, of Grand Island, as also 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, from the Methodist church in Alda. Burial will be made in the Grand Island cemetery.
