Mrs. Dorinda Lyon
Mrs. Dorinda (Dora) Lyon, 77, of 5425 Madison Ave., died Sunday at 12:15 p.m. in Ashtabula General Hospital following surgery.
Mrs. Lyon was born in Loogootee, Ind. She made her home in Geneva and Unionville for a number of years. She had lived with her son Gordon, Ashtabula since 1954.
She married James H. Lyon in 1900. He preceded her in death in 1935.
Mrs. Lyon was a member of Loogootee Methodist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Nellie Struble, Erie, and Mrs. Mable Jenney, Cleveland; two sons, Cledis of Geneva and Gordon of Ashtabula; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Seals of Loogootee, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A son, Claude preceded her in death in 1951.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Kennedy Funeral Home in Geneva. Rev. Hubert E. Cobb, Saybrook Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Geneva.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
