Febronia "Effie" Archuleta, 89, of Wagon Mound, died Wednesday after a short illness at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born in Levi to the late Sixto Pino and Ferminia Medina. She was married in Wagon Mound in 1931 to Felix Archuleta. She was a member of the Santa Clara Church in Wagon Mound, the Legion of Mary and the Wagon Mound senior citizens.

She enjoyed quilting and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Archuleta; sisters, Annie Montoya, Lola Salazar, Sadie Garcia, Ramoncita Martinez and Magdalena Trujillo; and brothers, Joe Pino and Abencio Pino. She is survived by her son, Crescencio Archuleta and wife Mary Lou of Springer; daughter, Cleo Martinez and husband Fred of Roy; 10 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. A public visitation will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at the Rogers Chapel followed by a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at Santa Clara Church in Wagon Mound. A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the same church with burial to follow at Santa Clara Cemetery.
