Peter Reasoner was in the Revolutionary War in 1776. He was one of Patrick Henry's captains. His wife was Mary Molly Speer born on the South Shenandoah River in VA who he married at Patterson Creek in 1763 in then Hampshire County, VA which is now a part of WV. They temporarily moved to Rostraver Twp, Westmoreland Co PA where her parents had settled on the Monongahela River. Peter appeared on the tax list before moving west with his family.
