Extremely loved by family and friends, Elna had a life full of accomplishments including earning her PhD in speech therapy from USC when she was forty years old, helping speech impaired children throughout her career, and just plain being a good friend and mentor to everyone.
After retiring, she took up playing the clarinet (named Esmerelda) and played with the Long Beach City College Music Club often.
She is survived in love by daughter, Karen; granddaughters, Lisa and Danielle; and four great-grandchildren. Goodnight Mom and Esmerelda We love you
