died Friday evening, Feb. 28, 1997, at the Carroll Lutheran Village
Health Care Center, following an extended illness.
Born in New Windsor, he was the son of the late C. Edgar and
Henrietta Shreeve Nusbaum. He was the husband of the late Helen
Dorsey Nusbaum.
He was a graduate of Blue Ridge College, Class of 1926. He joined
his father in operating Nusbaum & Jordan, a ladies' ready-to-wear and
dry goods store in Westminster. After his father discontinued the
store, he accepted employment at the United States Printing and
Lithographing Co. in Baltimore and was appointed manager of the
southern division. He then transferred to New York City as an
executive salesman. He was a veteran of World War II.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. He belonged to the Masonic Lodge.
Surviving are a sister, Ruth Ann Adamson of Rockville, and a
brother, Charles E. Nusbaum, of Mechanicsburg, Pa..
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Pritts
Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd , Westminster,
with the Rev Frederick Eckhardt officiating Interment of the ashes
will be in the Westminster Cemetery. There will be no public visitation.
