Glendon served a mission for the LDS Church and was a faithful member throughout his life. He served his country during World War II, returning home injured from the Philippines. He loved the outdoors, gardening and visiting family and friends.
Glendon loved music and sang in the ward choir for many years. He held several positions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
We, his family, are grateful for our time with him. Glendon was kind, honest, humble and kept charity in his heart. We will greatly miss him.
Glendon leaves sons, Glenn Jr. (Debbie) of Las Vegas, NV, Steven (Ruth) of Hurricane, UT, Daniel of Draper, UT, and Michael (Cora) of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Orvan; and sisters-in-law, Elaine (Rick) and Roberta (Chuck). He was preceded in death by his mother and father; 8 siblings, his wife, daughter and 1 great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2011, from 5:00-5:45 p.m. at the Spilsbury Hurricane Valley Mortuary, 25 N. 2000 W., Hurricane, UT. There will be a viewing from 3:30-4:45 p.m. prior to services at the Mortuary. Interment will take place in the Hurricane City Cemetery at 6:00 p.m
