W. Judson Smith, who died Saturday at Monrovia, Cal., whither he went three years ago in search of health, was long intimately connected with large business enterprises in this city. He was one of those who secured the location of the State Fair in Syracuse. His influence was felt not only in the fair but his activity in agricultural and breeders' association made him known by farmers generally through the State. He was one of the organizers of the Lakeside railroad. He held for years a large place in this business community and his death will be sincerely mourned by many.
