Eva was known for her hard work and dependability. She spend many hours helping on the family farm. She learned at an early age to work and be independent. That habit followed her during her lifetime, until the time she suffered a severe stroke on May 5, 2007.
She married Clifford Dabel on May 13, 1942. Their marriage was alter solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on Sept. 8, 1965. Cecil and Eva and Cecil's brother Marvin Dabel bought athe American Theatre which was located in Thayne. Eva helped run the theatre during the time that the brother owned and operated the business.
Four daughter were born to this union: Dale (Val Dee) Kennington, Danna Lee (Jack) Schiess, Denise (Don) Walton, and Julie Romine.
Eva loved to work in her beautiful yard and garden, to read, quilt, crocket, paint pictures, write poetry, walk and go camping. Eva love to fish and became very good at it. Cecil and Eva spent many hours fishing the Snake River and Greys Rivers. Eva was a good neighbor and enjoyed the friendship of many wonderful ladies. Eva gave generously of her time in service to those she knew and loved.
She served in various capacities in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints of which she was a member.
She was preceded in death by her husband Cecil, and is now survived by her four daughters Dale Kennington, Dani Schiess, Deni Walton, and Julie Romine, 14 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren.
Funeral serviced were held on March 18, 2011 in the Afton Second Ward church. The burial took place in the Afton cemetery,
