MRS. POWELL'S FUNERAL FRIDAY

Bearers Named for Woman Who Died Two Months After Famed Husband.

Bearers at the funeral Friday afternoon of Mrs. Lucy Smith Powell, widow of E. Alexander Powell, who died Wednesday morning at her home, 805 West Genesee Street, will be Charles Estabrook, Frederick Northrup, Charles Dunning, Augustus Stevens, Oscar Soule, Dr. Gordon W. Hoyt and Daniel Steadman.
Funeral services will be conducted at the home at 2:30 o'clock by the Rev. Dr. Albert C. Fulton, pastor of First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be made in the family plot in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Powell's death, which occurred just two months after that of her husband, is believed to have been hastened by the shock of his passing. Lieut. Col. E. Alexander Powell, Mrs. Powell's only son, arrived in Syracuse today from his home in Chicago.
Surviving are her son and two grandchildren, Betty Northrup Powell and W. A. Powell, 3d.
