WORLD WAR 1 VETERAN DIES IN HOSPITAL
Lloyd F. August Was Barber at Willshire For Last Two Years
Lloyd F. (Jack) August, 46, barber of Willshire, died Sunday at the Veterans' Hospital at Dayton where he had been a patient since January 14.
The deceased, a native of Willshire, was a veteran of World War One and was a member of Homer Pierson Post, American Legion. He was also a member of the Eagles Lodge at Rockford. He was a barber in Fort Wayne for 12 years and returned to Willshire about two years ago.
FUNERAL TODAY
Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis C. August in Willshire; three brothers, C. L. August of Decatur, D. L. August of Lima, and Donald August of Aberdeen, Md., and four sisters, Mrs. Esther Strickler of Willshire, Mrs. Gerald Riesen, of Columbus and Mrs. John Griebel and Miss Rheba August, both of Fort Wayne. A brother William, of Decatur, died January 27.
The body has been removed to the home of the parents where funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. Interment will be in charge of Buchanan & Son Funeral Home.
