Jason Douglas Burke, 31, Rockerville, died Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011 at Rapid City Regional Hospital as the result of an automobile accident. He was born July 6, 1980 in Rapid City to Douglas R. and Joan M. (Munyan) Burke. Jason graduated from Central High School in 1998 and attended Western Dakota Technical Institute.
He graduated in 2002 as an Auto Body Technician. He then worked at Eddie's Truck Body Shop. On July 3, 2010 Jason married Nicki Grover in Rapid City. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and cars.
Jason is survived by his wife, Nicki Burke; his daughter, Cheyanne Nicole Burke, step-children Jordanne and Jacob Perry and Jaycie Debries; his parents, Douglas and Joan Burke, all of Rockerville; his sister Lisa Angelica and husband Brent T. Ooton and their children, Breanna, Kourtney, Tanner and Mark Mark, all of Rapid City; his grandmother, Barbara Burke, Rapid City and grandparents Harry and Kathleen Munyan, Rockerville. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Roger Burke and uncle, Larry Munyan. Jason was a Lifesource donor.
Service Arrangements
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m., Monday, Aug. 15, 2011 at Behrens-Wilson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday Aug. 16th at the funeral home with Rev. David Grover officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for the benefit of his daughter Cheyanne.
