Visitation: 4pm to 8pm Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Alternative Funeral Services of Mansfield. Funeral Services: 11am Friday, July 22, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church of Mansfield.

Jack was born November 6, 1942 in Medford, MA. to John and Gertrude Leahy. He grew up in the Boston area and graduated from Somerville High School in Somerville, MA. In 1960, he enlisted and honorably served in the United States Army.
He retired from AT&T as a Communications Technician dedicating over 40 years of loyal service. While living in Grand Prairie, he volunteered with the Citizens On Patrol, the Grand Prairie Crime Commission, and was a member of the Elks Lodge in Arlington for many Years.
John moved to Mansfield in 2002 and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He loved camping, fishing and traveling with his loving wife, Carol.
Survivors: wife of 45 years, Carol Leahy of Mansfield; son, John W. Leahy and his wife Stacy of Mansfield; brother, Bill Leahy and his wife Jean of Medford, MA; grandson, Jason Venable; granddaughters, Jamie Wanker and Skyler Leahy; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
