Merrill E Zell 78, Center City died July 11. He had been ill for the past four months.
He was born in River Falls, Wisconsin in 1907. He attended school there and in Eden Prairie and graduated from Hopkins High School in 1925.
On November 25, 1931 he married Alice Rodgers. He hauled milk to the Twin Cities and farmed with his brother Harold until 1933.
After moving to a farm near Huntley the Zells bought the Peterson farm in Center City in 1942 and resided there until his death.
He is survived by his wife Alice and his four sons Joe, Kim, Darryl and Duane.
Aa memorial service was held Saturday, July 13 at the church of Saint Bridgets of Sweden in Lindstrom officiating was Father Bill Whittier and there was a private interment at Fairview Cemetery in Lindstrom.
