Services for Ruth J. Moberg, 83, Lindstrom, were March 8 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Interment was at Fairview Cemetery,Lindstrom.
Ruth Johanna Louise, the second of three children born to Charles J. and Mary L.(Cedergren) Anderson, was born Dec 13, 1899, in Lindstrom where she lived all her life.
She was educated in local schools and from 1928-1936 was postmistress in Lindstrom, after which she worked at the local co-op, known as the Farmer's store.
She married Emmons Moberg in Sept, 1940. They lived on a farm three miles south of Lindstrom. Following her husband's death in 1966, she remained on the farm until 1971 when she moved to an apartment in Lindstrom.
A lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church, she was honored by both the Minnesota Synod Lutheran and the Lutheran, a national publication of the Lutheran Church in America, for her 55 years of continuous Sunday School teaching.
She suffered four incidences of cancer, the first 31 years ago. The fourth was the cause of her death, March 6, 1983 at Fairview Hospital, Minneapolis.
Preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers, Harold and Dayton. Surviving are a nephew Charles, his family, cousins and other distant relatives.
