Gerald T. Holt, age 77, of Lindstrom, passed away March 2, 2000. He was born in Lindstrom, October 25, 1922 to parents Edward and Amanda (Peterson) Holt.
Gerald was a member of the Osman Temple since 1945 and held many offices. He was a Chisago County Commissioner for two terms and served on the Township Board and was State Fire Warden for many years.
Jerry spent most of his life as a dairy farmer, and at one time owned the largest dairy in Chisago County. Gerald was a young man when he ran his parents farm and then ran his own farm until he retired at age 55.
After retirement, Gerald enjoyed many summers going to his cabin on Lake Superior and fishing with his family and friends. He also enjoyed playing cards.
He is preceded in death by parents, brothers and sisters.
He is survived by loving wife of 41 years, Oriole; daughters: Audrey (David) Lease; Amanda Holt and fiancée Jim Molls; grandchildren Todd, Greg, Steven, Ashley, Josh, Brian and Kristina; brother Urban; many nieces and nephews and friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 6, 2000 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lindstrom.
Jerry will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
