Funeral services for Violet Anderson 90 were held at the A. F. Oberg Memorial Chapel at First United Methodist Church on Thursday, September 1 with Reverend John C . Blackford officiating.

Soloist an organist was Mrs. George Carlson .

Pallbearers were Lawrence Andrews, Harris Brandt ,Milton Carlson ,Lester Hendrickson Donald Peterson and Carl Strand.

Burial was at Fairview Cemetery in Lindstrom.

Violet Anderson was born in Franconia on May 15, 1886 to Olaf and Martha Hedenstrom. Her father, who worked as a carpenter, drowned when she was 5 weeks old.

She attended school in Franconia, later moving to St Croix Falls and then to Lindstrom.

She married Reuben W. Anderson on Aug 8, 1915. They lived on the Peninsular Farm north of Lindstrom. They had 3 children.

She joined the First Swedish Methodist Church of Lindstrom in 1905 and was active in the church through the years.

Her husband preceded her in death in June, 1959. She became a resident of the Chisago Lutheran Home (now the Margaret S. Parmly Residence). The following year and lived there until her death Tuesday, Aug 30.

Also preceding her in death was her daughter Janet in September, 1945.

Surviving are her son Eugene of Lindstrom, her daughter Mrs William (Lois) L. Berkebile of Shoreview and 5 grandchildren, Barbara Palma of Brainerd, Jim Berkebile of Green Bay, WI, Mark Anderson of St. Paul, Lee Gill of Minneapolis and Julie Anderson of Lindstrom.
