Mrs. Isaac Anderson, an aged resident of Lindstrom, passed away at her home here this morning. Death claimed her at about 9:00 at the age of 85 years. She had been ill since last fall and during the winter had been failing gradually in health. Funeral services will be conducted at the Swedish M. E. Church of Lindstrom at 2:30 next Sunday afternoon, it was announced to the Press this forenoon. Rev. E. A Wahlquist will officiate. There will be no service at the home. Mrs. Anderson is survived by her husband, 2 sons, 1 daughter, and other relatives and friends.

Services for Mrs. Isaac Anderson of Lindstrom, who succumbed at her home here last Thursday morning were conducted at the Swedish Methodist Church in Lindstrom Sunday afternoon.

Brief rites were conducted at the Westberg Chapel in Center City, followed by those in the church at 2:30 with Rev. Ernest Pearson and Rev. E. A. Wahlquist of Lindstrom preached and A. F. Oberg sang two solos.

A Kost trio also sang one hymn and a message was brought from the Twelfth Avenue Free Church in Minneapolis by Mr. Reinholdt. Burial was at Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers being as follows; Charley Valgren, Oscar Gustafson, Axel Gustafson, Otto Gustafson, and Martin Ekstrand.

Since last July, Mrs. Anderson had been ill, suffering from gall bladder trouble and complications. Shortly before the Christmas holidays she had the misfortune to fracture one hip in a fall and she then became an invalid confined to bed. Early Thursday she succumbed, having reached the old age of 85 years, 2 months, and 14 days.

Mrs. Hilda Lovisa Anderson was born in Smaland, Sweden, on January 12, 1846. On July 6, 1972 she was joined in marriage there to Isaac Anderson and three children were born to them.

In 1896 the family immigrated to America, first settling on a farm in the Kost vicinity. There they lived until 1920 when they moved to Lindstrom. They have since resided there.

Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Free Mission Church at Kost since 1898. Of her home life the following has been contributed by a friend: “She lived a consistent Christian life. Since the family came to Lindstrom, they have attended the services in the Methodist Church. Seldom was she absent from any Sunday morning service before last summer, when her health began to fall. During the time of her sickness, she was tenderly cared for by the family.”

Her passing is mourned by her husband, two sons, one daughter, two brothers and two sisters living in Sweden, many other relatives and friends. The children are Alfred Anderson, Andrew Anderson, and Alice Anderson.
