Mrs. Gust A, Anderson was born March 14, 1829 in Oland, Sweden and together with her husband immigrated to America in 1866. She resided 2 years in Michigan and moved from thence to Montana where they resided until they came to settle in Chisago County in 1877.
The Andersons had 4 children, one of whom died in Sweden.
Those surviving her are Mrs. P.J. Walley of Lindstrom, Mr. William Anderson of Keller, Canada and Mr. Charles Anderson of Clipper, WA,besides 10 grandchildren.
She had a host of friends in their community and was esteemed and respected by all for her kindness of heart and her genial disposition.
Peace be to her ashes.

Helena Anderson was born 13 February 1829 in Gräsgård, Kalmar län, Sweden, which is located at the southern tip of Öland Island. Records there listed her birth date as 14 Mar 1829, but the 13 February 1829 is correct.
Her mother was Lisa Andersdotter and there was no father listed on her birth record. I followed her in the Swedish records to the point where she left Gräsgård with Gustaf Adolph Anderson. They went to Huddinge, near Stockholm and were married there 26 December 1858.
