She was born September 23, 1908 in Erie, Pennsylvania. Joyce is preceded in death by her husband Harold H. Albrecht MD who was first Chief of Staff at Chisago Lakes Hospital until his untimely death in 1961.
She is survived by children Steven (Carolyn) of Bozeman, Montana; David of Lindstrom; and Kathleen Galiger of Champlin; four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, brother Robert Acheson of Grand Rapids, sister Alice Hooker of Kansas City, Missouri and many other relatives and friends.
Joyce spent 35 years as a hostess at Chisago Lakes Hospital. Visitation 5-7 p.m. Thursday October 2, 2008 with funeral service at 7 p.m. at Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom. Private family interment
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Parmly Lifepointes in Chisago City.
