Casey Eugene Murphy, age 50, of Stroud, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2011 due to complications which arose during double-bypass surgery. Born the son of Alice and Charles Murphy on August 4, 1961 in California, Casey made his living after his services in the U.S. Navy driving a truck and a taxi cab. He worked as an auto repair technician, specializing in brake repair and as a security officer. Casey's hobbies included riding Harley-Davidson Motorcycles, hunting and fishing and watching baseball. Casey was united in marriage to Teresa Jo Fisher on October 21, 2003 and settled in Stroud. Casey is survived by his wife; his five children, Patricia Griffith of Cushing, OK, Crystal Graham of Wichita, KS, Gerry Paul Graham of Parker, CO, Everett Ryan Brown of Winfield, KS and Michelle Peden of Chandler, OK. Of these there are five grandchildren: Jonathon, Nathaniela and Alycia Griffith, Elizabeth Peden, and Hannah Jo Graham. Casey was also very close to three friends whom he considered and treated as brothers, Michael S. Spirgis, Albert Paulin, and Arlie W. Rountree. Memorial services will be 2pm, Saturday, August 27, 2011 at the Church of the First Born in Bristow with Dorsey Stoddard officiating.
