John Samuel Arbuckle, age 80 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 1:10 a.m. Thursday, June 23, 2011 in Paris Health Care Center. He was a farmer, retired from the Illinois Department of Transportation, and was in the Teamsters Local out of Terre Haute, Indiana and a member of the N.R.A. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Paris, Illinois.
John was born September 16, 1930 in Paris, Illinois to Samuel W. and Jessie J. (Jones) Arbuckle. He married Shirley (Francis) Arbuckle January 19, 1957 in the First Christian Church in Paris, Illinois and she survives.
Other survivors include three children; Sam C. Arbuckle of Paris, Illinois, Sue A. Parrish of Paris, Illinois, and Carol L. Arbuckle of Paris, Illinois, and one grandchild Levi A. Parrish of Paris, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gerald, in infancy.

Visitation will be held from Noon to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2011 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2011 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Edgar Cemetery.
