Kate Elliott Spalding Weston
The funeral of the lamented Mrs. Kate Elliott Spalding Weston, wife of Mr. James Douglas Weston, of tonawanda, and daughter of the late Mr. N. Mack Spalding, formerly an honored and well-known citizen of this city, was held at the First Presbyterian church in this city this afternoon. The pastor, the Rev. Maltbie D. Hubbell of North church, Buffalo, officiated and the services were unusually impressive and solemn. Mrs. Weston came of an honored and respected family in this city. In youth she was married to Henry A. Lockwood, a rising young business man of this city. Mr. Weston, her second husband, is one of the largest lumber dealers in this county, and their home was in Tonawanda, where he conducted his business. The immediate relatives of the deceased were mentioned in the obituary notice in Tuesday's Journal. Mrs. Weston had many friends and relatives who were present at the funeral this afternoon and paid mournful tribute to her memory.
