John Ralph, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Fischer, died at 8:55 o'clock Monday night at their home in Shelby township. The child was eleven months and twenty-seven days old, having been born August 11, 1915. He was always frail, but the fatal illness was of only ten days duration. Death was caused by stomach and bowel trouble. Surviving beside the parents are a brother and three sisters, Earl, Lorrena, Freda and Mary. The babe leaves, also, its grandmothers, Mrs. Mary Minster, of this city, and Mrs. Elizabeth Fischer, of Prescott. This is the third time that Mr. and Mrs. Fischer have been called upon to give up a little one, and in their hour of sorrow they will have the sincere sympathy of the entire community. The funeral will take place at the St. Joseph Catholic church tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock, Rev. Fr. Kanlin officiating, and the interment will be made in the St. Joseph cemetery, Marshall G. Tindall, undertaker in charge. (Obit: The Shelby Democrat, Aug. 10, 1916 pg. 8)
