Son of Charles Freas.

Casper served as a Private First Class, Company B, 21st Infantry, U.S. Army during World War II.

He resided in Dansville, Livingston County, New York prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on May 31, 1944 at Fort Dix, New Jersey. He was noted as being employed in the manufacture of miscellaneous products and also as Single, without dependents.

He was "Killed In Action" when he was shot in the chest by a Japanese Soldier and killed instantly on the island of Mindanao during the war.

He was awarded a "Bronze Star" and a Purple Heart.

He was the youngest of four brothers who served in the war.
