Obituary, Durant Daily Democrat, April 15, 1925
His many friends were extremely grieved by the sudden death of Leroy H. 'Buster' Camden, who passed away at the Durant Hospital late yesterday. His death came as result of a series of ailments, starting with appendicitis more than two months ago, and ending with serious intestinal trouble. For days he has been gamely fighting for his life, but even his fighting spirit, coupled with all that medical science could do, availed nothing against the dread reaper.

His passing leaves sadness to others besides his loved ones, because he was a most likeable young fellow, and one who leads an upright life. He was 21 years of age, just entering into his years of manhood. The deceased was a former student of Southeastern State Teachers' College and Murray State Agricultural College.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Camden, 411 South 6th Avenue, with whom all join in mourning his loss. Funeral services were held in the chapel of Holmes Brothers Funeral Home this afternoon at 3 o'clock, with burial immediately afterwards at Highland Cemetery. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. D. B. Gregory, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church.
