She met and married Leroy Edward Fisher from St Louis Missouri. In 1951 they had a baby boy - James Edward Fisher.
Sadly, after just two short years, Joyce died of a heart condition triggered by Rheumatic fever she had as a child. She is buried at Memorial Park Cemetery at a shared plot with her in-laws Edward and Josephine Fisher who adored her.
All who had the pleasure of knowing Joyce loved her very much.

I am thankful to my sister, Stacey Fisher Kirk for her research on this family line and the information she has documented for future generations. Having read the stories Stacey has gathered, it has made me proud to be Joyce's namesake. I only wish I could have met her.
Rest in peace grandmother.
