Arthella Miller Taylor, 91, passed away April 28, 2001 in New Castle, Utah.
She was born August 29, 1909 in Richfield, Utah to Hans Peter Miller, Jr. and Sarah Ann Lazenby Miller. She married Thomas Henry Taylor, August 2, 1948. She grew up in Venice, Utah, the twelfth child in a family of sixteen.
After marriage, she lived in several Utah towns before settling in Fillmore, where she lived until 1995. She then moved to her daughter's home in New Castle.
She was active in The Church Of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints Church, serving in many positions. She enjoyed most working with children. She became well-known for her many hand-made quilts and Afghans.
She is survived by three daughters: Carma Beacham of New Castle, Utah, Karen (Dewey) Olds of Jaffrey, New Hampshire, and Diana (Frank) Allred of Salt Lake City, Utah; one brother LaRue Miller of Venice, Utah; one sister Lola Washburn of Taylorsville, Utah; 21 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters, one son-in-law George "Mitt" Beacham, and one grandson Harold Beacham.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 4, 2001 at 1 p.m. in the Fillmore Third Ward Chapel, 21 South 300 West. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Southern Utah Mortuary in Cedar City, Utah and Friday morning from 11:30 until time of service at the Fillmore Church.
