Irving D. Alderson, 71, 3002 Windmill Village, Punta Gorda, died Thursday at Medical Center. Born in Wilkinsburg, Pa., he came to the area from Charleroi, Pa. He was a draftsman with the West Penn Power Co.; a veteran of WW II, [U.S. Navy Seebees]; a member of the Elks Club in Charleroi; and past president of the Charleroi Sportsman's Club. He leaves his wife, Catherine M. Alderson of Punta Gorda; and a sister. Mrs. Mary Munn of Alden, N.Y. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. today [18th] at the Punta Gorda Chapel of Kays-Ponger Funeral Homes with the Rev. Robert Brown officiating. Entombment will be at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens.
