WHITESBORO-Laura Beth (Frantz) Pickard, went missing at age 44 on Sat March 7, 2009. Her peaceful remains were successfully recovered by Eagle Valley Search Dogs on Sat.Oct.30, 2010. Laura was born on June 21,1964 in New Hartford to Richard and Rosemary Hubbard Frantz. She was raised in Camden, NY with her 2 younger siblings. Laura graduated from CCS with Class of '82, lettered in track and sang in the school chorus years 8 - 12. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses she symbolized her dedication to God in baptism on June 2,1984. She moved to Rome, NY where she spent 9 married years with John Pickard. Laura was very energetic and enjoyed walking, hiking and bike riding. She was a hard worker who loved animals and had a great smile. She was known for her kindness, compassion, and humor.
