Married first to Lester Coyt Taylor. Her second husband was Barney Willis Polk. She divorced Lester at a time when such things were not done, as he had a problem with alcohol, and she managed to raise her three sons alone. My impression as a child, is that they seemed to me to have had a happy life while Barney was alive. She never called him anything in our presence, but Mr. Polk.
