Calhoun Times April 15th,1920
On last Monday, Grandma Bryant dropped dead at the home of her son , Mr. Jess Bryant. She was well up in the 90's and was in good health seemingly for her age when death came to her while helping with the dishes. If she could have planned her going, we believe it would not have been different.
She was a christian of many many years , being a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Two sons, Misters J.G. and J.V. Bryant , and two daughters , Mrs.Ben Hall and Mrs. Jannie Rochester, survive her, besides Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren and other relatives over this and other states.Funeral was held Wednesday at Bethlehem at 11.
Lord , Help us to bear our grief and look beyond this veil of tears, into shades of light and view her there, transformed by the care of God who gave her to us.
While we were denied the pleasure of her adoration for a further brief space of time , yet in our memories of her beautiful Christian life she will live until the time for us will be no more and when the pearly gates unfold to receive us into that beautiful city she will be there in her glory with outstretched arms to welcome us home where suffering and sorrows never enter and where loved ones and friend never more shall part.
Sadly missed by her children James V. Bryant , Jesse G. Bryant ,John T. Bryant Ella F. Hall , Janie C. Rochester
