She was born 7 October 1900 in Comer GA, and received her early education in Comer. She attended high school in the Panama Canal Zone and attended college in Georgia. She was a U.S. government employee in the Panama Canal Zone. Then she was a homemaker in Alabama and had a summer home in Sun River Canyon MT.
In 1940 she married Goalman White in Fort Benton and they lived on a ranch near Augusta. Her family were pioneers in Montana's oil and gas industry.
Winnie-mae was a member of the founding committee of the Augusta Community Church, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Order of the Eastern Star and a Daughter of the Nile.
She was survived by her daughter, Mrs. Virginia Pahl (Denver CO), her sister Lucille Anderson (Costa Mesa CA), 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brothers: Branson G. Stevenson, J.H. Stevenson, L.C. Stevenson, Grover Stevenson and John Stevenson.

They were the parents of Virginia Lucile McCauley, born 5 January 1923 in Alabama, who married Joseph William Pahl, Jr., in Great Falls MT on 30 May 1946.
