Grayce E. Ball of Cadillac, Michigan, entered eternal life on Wednesday, July 2, 2003 at Mercy Hospital in Cadillac. She was 83 years old.

Grayce was born August 27, 1919 in Grayling, Michigan, to John and Mary (Rafter) Morrissey. She married Donald K. Ball on April 12, 1945 in Indiana, and he preceded her in death on June 4, 2003.

She had been employed at Kroger for 34 years. She also had been with the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary for more than 20 years. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Cadillac, Daisy Chain of the Elks Lodge of Cadillac, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the AMVETS in Cadillac.

Survivors include her sons, Keith (Cindy) and Greg (Julie) Ball, all of Cadillac; grandchildren, Kurt (Becky) Ball and Tracie (Matthew) Smith; step-grandson, Gabe (Sarah) Marine; great-grandchildren, Kayla M. Ball, Matthew Smith, and Emily Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary; husband, Donald; and 12 brothers and sisters.

Visitation: Friday, July 4, 2003 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac.

Funeral Mass Liturgy: Saturday, July 5, 2003 at 9 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Cadillac, with Rev. Arthur F. Duchnowicz officiating.

Burial: Selma Township Cemetery in Wexford County.
