Age 75, he lost his battle with liver cancer and passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family on August 19, 2011. Harold was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who always made sure that his family was provided for. Harold knew no strangers and always had a way of putting a smile on people's faces. Even in his last moments, he never lost his sense of humor. He was preceded in death by both parents, James and Goldie Gochenour; brothers, Richard and John (Butch) Gochenour; and sister, Margaret Clark. He is survived by his wife of more than 52 years, Laura Gochenour; daughter, Cheryl Gochenour; and sons, Harold Jr. and James Gochenour; his 7 grandchildren: Jesse, Kelsey, Daniel, Andrew, Michael, Emily, and James Gochenour; and sister, Esther Ann Hunt; and brothers, Raymond and Mike Gochenour, all of Kansas City.
