Cory Steven Jennings - a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL died Saturday, August 20, 2011. Cory attended St. Pius X Catholic School and was a 2008 graduate of Murphy High School. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop 36 at St. Pius where he earned the rank of Eagle Scout on July 31, 2008. He was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity at U.S.A. Cory was preceded in death by his grandparents, Regina Fath Cox and Malcolm Robert Haw; and his great-grandfather, Wallace J. Jennings. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Judy and James Bryant; his father and step-mother, Steve and Crystal Jennings; his step-brothers, John Gnall and Andrew Gnall; his grandparents, Gerald Douglas Cox, Wallace S. and Katherine M. Jennings, James and Song Ye Buckalew, and Linda Sue Haw; his great-grandmother, Nettie B. Jennings; his aunts and uncles, Gerald D. and Shelley Cox, Jr., Lynn and Frank Rawlins, Nancy and David Brunson, Tina and Stephan Wheeler, Mark and Sheila Jennings, Joseph Alan Buckalew, Sr., and Courtney Haw; his cousins, Brian (Amber) Crabtree, Jeffrey Crabtree, Jonathan Crabtree, Kaylee Rawlins, Zachary Cox, Melanie Cox, Jamie (Mark) Price, Charlie Easterling, Bridgett (Lee) Stacks, Marcus Brunson, Emily Brunson (Fernando) Preciado, Ian Wheeler, Ashley Wheeler, Alexis Jennings, Kaitlyn Buckalew, Joseph Alan Buckalew, Jr., Breanna Price, Hunter Price, and Audrey Brunson Preciado. Visitation will be from 12 Noon until 2 P.M. on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Reverend Matthew J. O'Connor officiating. Honorary pallbearer will be John Gnall. Active pallbearers will be Andrew Gnall, Brian Crabtree, Jeffrey Crabtree, Jonathan Crabtree, Charlie Easterling, Marcus Brunson, and Phillip Giattina. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Pius X Boy Scout Troop 36, 217 South Sage Avenue, Mobile, AL 36606. Condolences may be offered at www.mmgfuneral home.com.
