JULIAN - Charlotte M. McGarr, 85, who formerly resided on Main Street, died Wednesday at an Escondido convalescent home.
Mrs. McGarr had lived here 26 years, coming from Los Angeles County. A California resident for 48 years, she was born July 4, 1886 in Chicago, Ill.
She was a member of the Grange, Woman's Club and Republican Club, all of Julian.
Mrs. McGarr is survived by a daughter, Mrs. William Nichols of Julian; a granddaughter, Mrs. I. H. Hart of San Diego; a grandson, Marcus W. Nichols stationed at Offutt Air Force Base, Omaha, Neb., and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service, under the direction of Bonham Brothers' Ramona Mortuary, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Julian Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Samuel Bennett, a retired Methodist minister.
In lieu of flowers the family has suggested contributions to youth organizations of the donors' church.
