Funeral services for Daniel Lyons Smith, 64, of 5733 N. Seventh St., who retired Jan. 2 as readers service librarian in the Fresno County Free Library, will be held at 9 a.m. tomorrow at the John N. Lisle Chapel. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in the Los Osos Cemetery. Smith died Sunday at his home after a short illness. He was born in Franklin, Tenn., served 22 years in the Army and Air Force, then received his bachelor's and master's degrees in library science from the Peabody Library School in Nashville, Tenn. He worked in the Muncie, Ind., Public Library before joining the Fresno Library in 1958. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Lois L. Smith; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Bolton of Los Osos; a son, Daniel T. Smith of Fresno; a brother, John L. Smith of Franklin, Tenn., and three grandchildren.
