This lady is suspected to be the wife of Russell Adair, my maternal grandpa's cousin. It is not believed by close friends of her sister in law that they had children, but this is not certain.

My Russell's last address seems from government death records to have been in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania, and this lady also had the town as her last address, and is about the same age. She has address records shared with him as well.

No obituary can be found for her at this time. I did find that when the Cold Point Baptist Church initiated a newsletter with the pastor as editor, she was associate editor, as reported in The Conshohocken Recorder, August 6, 1959. Additionally, this church's current website's history section notes "Another member, Hannah Adair was the descendant of Charter Member Hanah Wolf."

She appears to have been from Norristown, Pennsylvania, the daughter of John J and Alice C. on the 1910 census. By 1920 John J is living solo in Philadelphia and reporting as divorced. 1930 shows Alice reporting as widowed and raising a son Frank, age 19, no Hannah in sight. Born 1909, Hannah would not be old enough to marry so it's hard to say where she is.

A John Joseph Betteridge had also registered for the WWI draft from Philadelphia, reporting as single with no dependents, a telegrapher born December 26, 1886 in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania. There's another man of a similar name, John Thomas Betteridge who also registered, a bricklayer from Philadelphia.

Her husband may be here.
