"Mary Lucy Barnett, 61, of Green County, Ky., died on Sunday, Aug. 29, 2004, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky. Daughter of the late Belknap Roosevelt Smith and Cordelia Logan Smith, she was born in Green County on Dec. 20, 1942 and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was married to Rollin Barnett Jr. of Greensburg. He survives. Besides her husband, Barnett is survived by one daughter, Holly Barnett of Greensburg; two stepsons and their spouses, Earl and Mary Jane Barnett of Greensburg and James and Theresa Barnett of Aurora, Ill.; four brothers, John Ike Smith of Kansas City, Mo., Jewell Smith of Richmond, Ky., William Lewis Smith of Campbellsville and Logan Smith of Greensburg; one sister, Lettie Caldwell of Campbellsville; one grandchild, Jasmine; eight step-grandchildren; and 12 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Stephon Barnett; three brothers and one sister, Raymond Smith, Robert Smith, James Henry Smith and Anna Bertha Smith. Funeral will be at noon on Wednesday, Sept. 1 at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg. Burial will be in Green County Memory Gardens. The Rev. Walter Johnson will officiate. Pallbearers are Tye Smith, David Barnett, Sherwayne Smith, Ryan Barnett, Underwood Smith and Stacy Groves. Honorary pallbearers are Joe Bridgewater, Harlan Groves, Charlie Caldwell, Joe Caldwell, Jodie Mitchell, Kenneth Groves, James Thornton, Billy J. Mitchell, Joe Lewis Smith and Udell Thornton."
