Mr. Awe was born January 3, 1885 in the town of Longwood [to John and Johanna Awe] and was married May 28, 1910, at the town of Green Grove Church, to the former Rose Brecker, who survives him. They had been married 62 years. He farmed in the town of Longwood area from 1910 to 1970, and then moved to route 1, Withee.
In addition to his wife, survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Albert (Alvina) Laabs, route 1, Owen, Mrs. Albert (Lena) Molle, Medford, Ray (Alma) Harper, Corning, California, and Mrs. Alfred (Ruth) Molle, route 1, Withee; two sisters, Mrs. Emily Youngblood, Richmond, California, and Mrs. John (Gertie) Spowell, Sunnyvale, California; 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
