"Mrs. Julia Holmes, wife of Arthur Holmes, former residents of St. Louis, died at the Edward Sparrow hospital in Lansing, July 14, following a nine months illness. At the present time the husband, Arthur Holmes, is in a most critical condition."
Their name is often written as Holmes, but their grandson (my great-uncle) Arthur J Gilmore said the family name was Homes, which he indicated in some notes he left me.
Julia married Arthur Homes on Aug. 5, 1883, in Gratiot County, Michigan. (The marriage record notes his name as Andrew, which is incorrect.)

Gravesite Details
She and her husband are buried in Saint Mary's cemetery, which according to family notes was in Montcalm County, but a contact there said the couple is not in their records.
